The main purpose of the Education Committee is primarily to organize the training of resident doctors, as well as the continuing training of consultant hematologists. According to the Hellenic Heamatology Society’s decisions, we are working towards harmonizing the knowledge base of specialization with the European Haematology Association’s Curriculum-Passport.
In order to achieve this, the Commission:
1. In collaboration with the Hellenic Foundation of Hellenic Haematology Society organise the Foundation’s Haematology School program, a two-day interactive educational activity covering basic and updated knowledge in Haematology. The activity takes place as a Summer School in Alexandroupolis and as an Autumn School in Heraklion.
2. Set out the Educational Program in Haematology, a 2 years educational activity which covers the basic knowledge of Haematogy Specialty.
The education committee has also one goal, as it was mentioned before the specialist colleagues’ organization of the continuous medical education so as a minimum of documented and updated knowledge of General Haematology to be a property to all of our company’s hematologists.
